- This study aims to develop musical instruments from coconut shell in group B children are valid and practical. In this research use Rowntree development model and Tessmer evaluation. Category is very valid here means that the product is developed in terms of material is in accordance with the presentation of materials consisting of assisting children in playing various sounds, work together in playing musical instruments, displaying instruments in 8 tones, then musical instruments according to the needs and development of children aged 5-6 years old, musical instruments that are made easy to use, easy to understand and attract children's attention so as to foster children's curiosity and interest in learning. In terms of media is in accordance with the design of an attractive musical display of the form, the sound that has the tone do re mi fa sol la si do, has a size easily accessible by the child to play, easily understood by the child and made using safe materials. The results of child observation at one-to-one evaluation stage and small group evaluation get an average score of 91% with very practical category.
