PENGARUH PEMBERIAN KOMPOS AZOLLA DAN UREA TERHADAP NITROGEN TANAH PADA PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN PADI (Oryza sativa L.) DI TANAH RAWA PASANG SURUT

- This research aims to determine the giving compost of azolla to the availability of soil N and to know the growth and production of the rice (Oryza sativa L.) on tidal land. This research was conducted at Greenhouse of Soil Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University from August 2017 until January 2018. Analysis of N-total soil and soil pH was conducted in Chemical, Soil and Soil Fertility Laboratory of Soil Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The method used in this research was Completely Randomized Factorial Design which consists of two factors, such as : Factor I is the dosage of azolla compost (P): dosage level P0: 0 ton ha-1 (0 g 7 kg of soil-1) , P1: 15 tons of ha- 1 (52.5 g of 7 kg of soil-1), P2: 20 tons ha-1 (70,0 g of 7 kg of soil-1), and P3: 25 tons ha-1 (87,5 g of 7 kg of soil-1). Factor II is the dose of urea fertilizer (N): dose N0: 0 ton ha-1 (0 g 7 kg-1 soil), N1: 160 kg ha-1 (0,56 g 7 kg of soil-1), N2: 180 kg ha-1 and (0.63 g of 7 kg of soil-1). The results showed that dosage azolla compost 25 tons ha- 1 had no significant effect of N-total of soil. However, it gives significant effect on soil pH, maximum plant height, maximum tillering, number of productive tillers, 1000 grain weight and weight of dry grain of rice plant in tidal land. The dosage of urea 180 kg ha-1 had no significant effect of N-total of soil. However, it has a significant effect on the number of productive tillers, 1000 grain weight and the weight of dry grain of rice mill in tidal swamp land. Interaction between of azolla compost of 25 tons ha-1 and urea of 180 kg ha-1 tends to increase the number of productive tillers of rice plants on tidal swamp land.
