- Social security is one of the forms of social protection to guarantee the entire people in order to meet the basic needs of his life it deserves. Guarantee accident and guarantee death so important is owned by all workers in Indonesia, including the informal sector workforce or Bukan Penerima Upah (BPU). This research aims to know the factors related to the social workers insurance on sellers in pasar cinde the city of Palembang Year 2018. Type of this research is descriptive analytic with cross sectional. Sampel used as many as 118 samples were selected with simple random sampling. Data analysis using Chi Square and regression logistic. The results showed the status of membership of the sellers cinde market has been registered participants BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Kota Palembang has not been fullest 44,1% There are seven variables related to the status of a membership social workers insurance on sellers is a variable knowledge (p=0,001), positif attitudes towards social security (p=0,000), high education (p=0,000), gender (p=0,000), income of traders (p=0,000), the information obtained (p=0,002), services of access (p=0,000) and supporting of family (p=0,000). To improve this membership BPJS Ketenagakerjaan needs to approach sellers in socialization and education efforts, use social media to educate, collaborate with the Dinas Tenaga Kerja and PD Pasar Jaya Kota Palembang in providing education, promotion needs to be improved through Below The Line (BTL) media that is to multiply the agents of PERISAI BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, as well as to provide skills training to agents of PERISAI BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
