HUBUNGAN DURASI KERJA DAN POSISI KERJA DENGAN KELUHAN LOW BACK PAIN (LBP) PADA PEKERJA PEMBERSIH SAYURAN DI PASAR INDUK JAKABARING KOTA PALEMBANG TAHUN 2018

- Working positions are not ergonomic with long duration of work (more than 7 hours / day) causing workers to have a high risk ofcomplaints low back pain. Vegetable cleaning workers at Jakabaring Jump Market have done ≥ 7 years of work but are not accompanied by appropriate use of seats and working duration. This study aims to determine the relationship between work duration and work position withcomplaints Low Back Pain on vegetable cleaning workers in Jakabaring Parent Market of Palembang City Year 2018. This study usesdesign cross sectionalstudy. The sample in this study amounted to 55 people. Sampling method using simple random sampling technique. The result of research showed that from 55 respondents, 30 respondents complained aboutsymptoms low back pain and respondents with duration of work ≥ 8 hours as many as 32 people (58.2%) and respondents who had work position with moderate risk level of 8 people (14, 5%). From the result of bivariate analysis usingtest Chi-square showed that there was no correlation between duration of work with LBP complaint (p = 0,803) and existence of correlation between work position and LBP (p = 0,042) at vegetable cleaning worker at Jakabaring Parent Market of Palembang City. It can be concluded that workers with ergonomic working positions have the potential to causecomplaints low back pain on vegetable cleaning workers at Jakabaring Parent Market of Palembang City. We recommend that workers implement ergonomic work positions using ergonomic chair design and before doing work activities workers should stretch the muscle for> 5 minutes before work.
