  • Public transportation is the opposite of 'private vehicles'. Public transportation is one of the transportation media used by the community together by paying tariffs. This type of research is a literature study from previous studies and research findings by Ricky Rithoma (2013), Dian Krisna Aditya (2007), and Ana Febrianti AD (2012). The sequence of research is finding problems in the field, setting goals, literature studies, data collection, data processing, and data analysis. Data collection is carried out using counting surveys, public transport movement surveys, and questionnaire surveys. Data analysis is performed using the description method and matrix method. The description method describes eight independent variables, including family status, gender, age of travel, work status, number of car vehicles, number of motor vehicles, priority of private vehicle users, and salary and allowance per month. From this method, the percentage of people who use private transport and public transport is obtained, as well as knowing the waiting time for traveling on the Airport-Kenten route. While the matrix method reveals an analysis of the results of the survey that has been conducted and knows the distribution of community travel on the Airport-Kenten route. From the survey and analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that there is no need for additional transportation.
