  • Antioxidant from outside od the body can be natural antioxidant and synthetic antioxidant, but synthetic anrioxidant is less good than health. Because of that the conduct of natural antioxidant was being chosen. Natural antioxidant source could be get from Mimba plant. Flavonoid content at Mimba leaves ethanol extract had strong IC50 DPPH with 88.1273 μg/mL as value. The conduct could be done to know the Mimba leaves ethanol extract antioxidant effect via TBARs method by measuring the rat's MDA plasm concentration that had been induced carbontetrachloride (CCl4), the measuring could form MDA-TBA complex. This experimental conduct was using 30 male rats that was divided into 6 different grousp, which were normal control bring given 1% Na-CMC, positive control being given vitamin C 1,98 mg/200gBB, negative negatif diberi Na-CMC 1%, and test group 1, 2, control being given Mimba leaves ethanol extract 50 mg/kgBB, 100 mg/kgBB, and 200 mg/kgBB orally for 6 days, and then at seventh days the rats were ineuced by CCl4. The conduct by using TBARs method showed the three extract dosages had effect as antioxidant because it could lower the rat's MDA plasm concentration for as much 1,295±0,283 nmol/mL, 1,202±0,314 nmol/mL, and 0,636±0,309 nmol/mL. Mimba leaves ethanol extract had an effect antioixidant and the best antixoidant was 200 mg/kgBB because it has the same antioxidant effect with vitamin C (0,3955 ± 0,199 nmol/mL).
