- The title of this research is “Development of Children with Disability Moderate Mental Retardation Behavior in Special School Serasan Seandanan Muara Dua, OKU Regency. This Research was purpose to find out about learning program which given by teacher in the way to change the disability child behavior, and also to know develop progress of child’s behavior after entered special school (School of physical and mentally handicapped chlidren). The benefit in this research expected to increase knowledge in form of thinking contribution for sociology science especially study of sociology education. This research using descriptive qualitative as resesarch method. Analytical unit in this research are teacher’s and children with disability in Special School Serasan Seandanan Muaradua Ogan Komering Ulu. Technique determination of informant conducted using purposive sampling. Data were collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this research describe that the learning program in Special School Serasan Seandanan has two programs consisting of special programs for self development mental redartion and general programs consisiting program teaching of learning activities, self-development, and learning outside classroom. It was found three development who shown by moderate mental retardation students after attending special programs and general programs. (1) Self development behavior, (2). Learning development, (3). Socializing development.
