- This research entitled is “the influence of effectiveness movie trailer on youtube towards moviegoing Decision Suzzana (2018) among collage students majoring communication in Sriwijaya University” by Ardi Pratama The study aims to find wheter there is influence of effectiveness movie trailer on Youtube toward moviegoing decision Suzanna (2018) and how much influence had given. The theory used to measure variable effectiveness movie trailer is the golden trailer parameters by Seema Gupta (Tejas Article,2014) and for variable moviegoing decision making used theory simple buying model by John Egan(2007:54). This research applied quantitative approach with descriptive and inferential statistic analysis, and used simple linear regression model to make predictions. Data collection was conducted by distribuling questionnaires to 89 respondents of collage students majoring communication in Sriweijaya University with purpose sampling technique The findings from the data analysis in this study were obtained through hypothesis testing using t test that tcalc is greater than ttable, where tcalc 11.079> ttable 19.88, which means there is an influence of effectiveness movie trailer on YouTube towards moviegoing decision Suzzanna (2018), and the influence given is 58.5% where the rest is influenced by other factors. The linear regression fitted model obtained is ŷ= 8,348 + 1,484x which means that for each additional value of effectiveness movie trailer, movie going decision making value will increase about 1,484 times among college student majoring Communication in Sriwijaya University.
