Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk. Tanjung Enim undertakes mining activities with an open-pit mining system whose mining processes are directly related to air so that rain can enter and inundate the mine site. This is an important issue for the company. At this time Western Banko sump pit 1 is in a state of flood because the air has exceeded the volume limit that can be accommodated by sump. The purpose of this study is to find out how much water discharge into sump, then to know the current pump capacity and re-planning of pump capacity so that air in sump can be overcome. At West Banko pit 1 West Bank mine, the sump capacity of 103,143 m3ARA amount of water discharge entering the mine site is 57,206,09 m3 / day. The pumping system in Sump Pit 1 West Banko uses 3 pumping lines with total pump discharge of 22,161.6 m3 / day. The three pumps in West Banko's 1st pit sump have not been able to overcome the air in the sump. Therefore, the contents of the re-assessment of pumping sump pit west of western banko, so the pump produced volume is 60.652,8 m3 / day and for the sump does not need improvement because sump is now still able to accommodate the flow of water into the sump.
