- Background: Immunization is an attempt to actively increase or enhance a person's immunity against a particular disease. Based on Riskesdas data, the coverage of complete basic immunization in infants in Indonesia continues to increase but the coverage of complete basic immunization has not reached the Renstra target of 88% in 2013. This study uses IFLS data in 2014, to determine factors related to coverage complete basic immunization coverage in children aged 12-24 months in Indonesia. Method: This study used cross sectional study design with sampling using multistage random sampling, obtained sample of 1.093 respondents from 2,283 respondents in accordance with exclusion criteria. Data analysis using complex samples analysis consisted of three stages: univariate, bivariate, and multivariate using multiple logistic regression test prediction model. Results: This study showd that the variables related to primary immunization in children aged 12-24 months are maternal education (p=<0.001). Maternal education variable is the most dominant variable affecting basic immunization in infant with PR value that is 2.012 (95% CI=1,569-2,579). Conclusion: Maternal education can influence mother in giving basic immunization to children, it is expected that health institution can give educated which can be packed in interesting media like in film that can be watched by mother and child or in the form of advertisement so that everyone can receive it.
