  • This study aims to develop an artifact or product that produces a puppet media that is practical, valid and effective with a sample class II C SD Negeri 11 Indralaya which amounted to 24 students. This puppet media is made to facilitate students in learning listening tales on the subtema "my life in social life". This research is a development research with Ellis & Levy (2010) design which has 6 stages covering problem identification, setting objectives, design and developing artifact, artifact test and communicate result. The artifact test is performed by a team of material experts test, media expert test and the last validation test question.. Insturmen know the practicality of media used data source of second class teacher C with qualitative analysis by using interview, kevalidan used data source that is Sriwijaya University lecturer qualitative analysis by using questionnaire and the last effectiveness of data source of second class student qualitative analysis using questioner and test. Stages performed to test using the one-to-one test, small group test, field test. Results obtained from the one-to-one test that the doll medium is attractive, easy to understand, easy to use and helpful in listening to fairy tales. Results from group tests and field tests using pretest and postest and and calculated using a gain score. In the krieteria group test questionnaire with Likert scale obtained "Very good" by using questionnaire while on field test result showed 12 students stated "High" 9 students stated "Medium" and 2 people stated "Low". So it can be concluded that the puppet media is very well used to help students in listening tales.
