THE EFFECT OF WASTE PAPER SLUDGE ASH ADDITIONS TO EXPANSIVE SOIL ON CBR SOAKED TEST RESULT
Daftar Isi:
- One of all the problematic soil is the expansive soil. The expansive soil is soil whose high shrinkage, because of that need stabilization. The type of stabilization is used in this research is the chemical stabilization. The stabilitator material used is waste paper sludge ash with LPK2, LPK4, LPK6, LPK8, and LPK10 variation. Waste paper sludge ash who be used is from PT. Tanjung Enim Lestari Pulp & Paper. The research has done the california bearing ratio (CBR) soaked testing that located in soils mechanics laboratory of sriwijaya university. The results of the properties test showed index plasticity (IP) value is 40,63%. The result got be as the expansive soil, because it has the high volume changing potential. And the result of the CBR soaked test that the optimum cbr soaked value is 8,00% in LPK6 variation with 7 days curing. While the result of shrinkage value is 0,38% in LPK10 variation with 7 days curing. Based on the result, the conclusion is the adding of waste paper sludge ash can increase the cbr soaked value from the expansive soil.
