Green Colony Population by Using Papaya Leaves Extract (Carica papaya L) in Vannamei Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) Rearing (Supervised by SEFTI HEZA DWINANTI and PURNOMO HADI). Vibriosis is one of bacterial desease which often attack vannamei shrimp. Vibriosis is coused by Vibrio sp. especially green colony. This research aims to determine the effect of papaya leaves extract (Carica papaya L) on dose 30 mg.L-1 dan 45 mg.L-1, in inhibiting the growth of Vibrio sp. population on both the maintenance media and shrimp body (Litopenaeus vannamei). This research will conducted in July-August 2018 at PT. SyAqua Indonesia Serang, Banten. This research using Completly Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments which is control, 30 mg.L-1 dan 45 mg.L-1 with 3 replicates each treatments. The result showed that the addition of papaya leaves extract was able to depress the population of Vibrio sp. both on maintenance media and shrimp body and produce better survival rate than control. However, the addition of papaya leaves extract at a dose 45 mg.L-1 was not significantly different from the dose of 30 mg.L-1. Water quality parameters during maintenance is still in a state of optimum range.
