HUBUNGAN INTENSITAS KEBISINGAN TERHADAP PENINGKATAN TEKANAN DARAH PADA PEKERJA DI AREA MESIN BREAKER DAN HAMMER MILL PT. SUNAN RUBBER PALEMBANG TAHUN 2018

- PT. Sunan Rubber, located in Kertapati Sumatera Selatan Palembang, uses modern technology in every process of production. The equipment which is used in the Crumb Rubber production causes the pollution of noise. Based on the result of noise measure which done by Corporate Hygiene and Health in this company in the year of 2017, in some productions have the level of noise nearly 85 dBA and even more. The source of ≥ NAB noise in this factory is produced by Breaker engine (85dBA) and Hammer Mill (88dBA). Based on the results of a medical check-up by Corporate Hygiene and Health in 2017, the number of labors suffering high blood pressure among the employees of PT. Sunan Rubber is 12 people which ranked second out of the five the greatest number of disease. The purpose of this research is to analyze the connection between noise intensity and the increase of blood pressure in the Breaker and Hammer Mill Engine area of PT. Sunan Rubber Kertapati Palembang. Quantitative research design uses a cross-sectional study which has analytic descriptive quantity. The number of sample in this research is 50 people who are the labors of PT. Sunan Rubber Palembang. The research result shows that there is the connection between noise intensity (p- value=0,001), age variable (p-value=0,017), ear protector (p-value=0,012), smoking habit (p-value=0,000), physical exercise/sport (p-value=0,000) and no connection between working period (p-value = 0.314) and blood pressure escalation. The suggestion given is that it is better to place rubber under the machine so the efforts to reduce noise intensity can run better, also providing effective resting time for workers, providing training and the importance of using ear protector, reducing smoking habits, and exercising and increasing to drink water to reduce the risk of blood pressure increase.
