- Coal mining is one of the best commodities owned by Indonesia with abundant natural resources of coal, accompanied by the development of mining industries, it is necessary to supervise or regulate the mining environment, the safety and health of the mining area. Implementations of Minerals and Coal Mining Safety Management System (SMKP Minerba) will be important to prevent accidents and occupational diseases, ensure the company's operations run safely. PT. Muara Alam Sejahtera Site Lahat is one of the mining companies that have to apply SMKP Minerba. The purpose of this research is determine the evaluation of the implementation Minerals and Coal Mining Safety Management System (SMKP Minerba) in PT. Muara Alam Sejahtera Site Lahat based on Peraturan Menteri ESDM No.38 Tahun 2014. The Method of this research is a qualitative with indepth interview technique, observation, and review document. Informants in this research amounted by 4 people namely Head of Mine Engineering, Auditor, Safety Officer, and Engineering Staff. The results of this research are applicated of policies, planning, organization and personnel, implementation, evaluation, documentation, and management review in the application of SMKP Minerba in PT.
