PENGARUH PEMBERIAN NaCl TERHADAP PERKECAMBAHAN BEBERAPA VARIETAS BENIH KOPI (Coffea)

- The study aimed to evaluate the effect of NaCl on the germination of several coffee varieties. The research has been conducted in Seed Technology Laboratory and at House of Shadow Department of Agriculture Cultivation, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The method used in this research is the design of plot Tebagi, with coffee varieties as main plot and NaCl as subplot. The main plot consists of three varieties of coffee, namely: Arabic Varietas Sigatar Debt (V1), Arabica Varieties S795 (V2), and Robusta Propeligitim BP 42 x BP 358 (V3). The subplot consisted of 4 treatments, ie without NaCl (P0), 100 ppm NaCl (P1), 200 ppm NaCl (P2), and 300 ppm NaCl (P3). The results showed that there was no interaction between varieties and concentration of NaCl solution. The Robusta Propeligitim BP 42 x BP 358 variety is more tolerant to the concentration of 300 ppm NaCl than other varieties. The higher the given NaCl concentration, the lower the weight of the seed, the diameter of the seed and the percentage of coffee germination.
