HUBUNGAN GAMBARAN KLINIS KELAINAN MATA PADA PASIEN OFTALMOPATI GRAVES DENGAN KADAR HORMONAL DAN DURASI PENYAKIT PASIEN DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG

- Background Graves disease is a clinical appearance of the eyes abnormalities on a patient with thyroid abnormality, which showing an increase of thyroid hormones and enlargement of the thyroid glands. The increase of growth, hormonal levels, and activities of thyroid cells function, are closely related to the activity of the disease and its’ abnormalities in the eye. Other than a hormonal levels, other factor like duration of the disease can also affect degrees of severity and clinical appearance of abnormalities in the eyesin people with thyroid eyes abnormalities. Methods This observation is a analytical observational study of cross sectional using the secondary data from Medical Records in RSUP dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang towards 62 samples. The results obtained were analyzed by Chi- Squaretest to find out the relationship between dependent variable and independent variable. Results There were no significant relationship between the disease duration (p value = 0.192) and FT4 hormones (p > α=0.05) with NO SPECS degree of severity (p > α=0.05) and there were significant relationship between the TSH(p value = 0.000) and FT3 (p value = 0.004) hormones with NO SPECS degree of severity(p < α=0.05). Conclusions Based on the result of this study, there are no significant relationship between duration of the disease and FT4 hormones with NO SPECS degree of severity and there are significant relationship between TSH and FT3 hormones with NO SPECS degree of severity.
