- Colonized termites consist of several worker castes, soldiers, kings characterized by morphological differences. Each type of termite has the characteristics of a preferred habitat, even certain types require specific habitats. Termites fall into a group of organisms that damage dry wood and wet wood with the effects of extraordinarily dangerous damage and huge losses to wood. The most common type of termite that grows on trees is termite caste soldiers. The aim of the study was to identify and find out the types of termites of the warrior castes on the campus of Universitas Sriwijaya, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. This research uses a descriptive type of research, with a simple random sample selection method from inhabited locations, open locations and forests. Furthermore, from the selected location, samples were taken by means of wood samples taken from a 100 meter long transect with a width of 2 meters. The location of the transect was chosen randomly based on the characteristics of termite colonies and their nests such as there are weathered piles and moist litter. The transect is divided into 20 parts, each measuring 5 x 2 meters. In each section, the presence of termite nests is observed if there are termite nests, the location is marked and wood samples around the nest are taken and put in ziplock bags. The number of wood samples taken is 3 times for each termite. Termite samples that inhabit each nest are taken to identify the species. The results of the research showed that types of termite soldiers found at the location of the Universitas Sriwijaya campus were two families of Rhinotermitidae and Termitidae with seven species of termites. The Rhinotermitidae family consists of two sub-families of Schedorhinotermitinae and Coptotermitinae while the Termitidae family consists of three sub-families namely Macrotermitinae, Amitermitinae and Nasutitermitinae. Schedorhinotermes javanicus and Coptotermes gestroi are collected species of the termite Rhinotermitidae family. Odontotermes obesus from the sub-family Macrotermitinae. and Holmgren Microcerotermes fletcheri from Amitermitinae Subfamilia while Nasutitermes sp from Nasutermitinae sub-family. The conclusions of the study were that the two pretyitic termites obtained were 2 families and 7 species, namely the Termitidae family which consisted of Nasutitermes sp. Species, Macrotermes gilvus (Major), Macrotermes gilvus
