DETERMINAN PEMILIHAN KONTRASEPSI HORMONAL DAN EFEK SAMPING PENGGUNAANNYA PADA PASANGAN USIA SUBUR DI INDONESIA (ANALISIS DATA IFLS 2014)

- Selection of contraceptives appropriate for acceptors is still a problem couples of childbearing age and also related to the side effects of its use. This research was conducted to analyze the determinant of hormonal contraceptives selection and the side effects of their use on couples childbearing age in Indonesia (IFLS Secondary Data Analysis 2014). This study used a cross-sectional study design with complex sample data analysis. The data used are IFLS secondary data with population 6.039 people and sample of 3.487 respondents according to inclusion and exclusion. The results showed that there was a correlation between age, residence area variables, education level, employment status, giving information by KB officers and side effects experience against hormonal contraceptives selection, while parity is not related to hormonal contraceptives selection in Indonesia. The most dominant factor in hormonal contraceptives selection was side effects experience (PR : 3,169 95% CI : 2,501-4,015). Hormonal contraceptives in the form of the most widely used injections and side effects that often occur in the respondent is not menstruation (19,9%).The Conclusionof this study is factors affecting hormonal contraceptives selection are age, residence area variables, education level, employment status, giving information by KB officers and side effects experience. Side effects experience is the most dominant factor affecting the hormonal contraceptives selection. It is expected that couples of childbearing age to add information about effective contraception.
