  • This research is motivated by the problem of communication limitations between civil servant teachers and the assessment of work motivation of employees who are less effective at SMA I TalangKelapa. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is an effect of communication effectiveness on employee work motivation and how much influence the effectiveness of communication on employee work motivation at SMA 1 Talang Kelapa The theory used in this study is the theory of communication effectiveness according to Stewart L. Tubbs and Sylvia Moss and the theory of employee motivation according to McClelland. This study uses quantitative research methods. Data obtained from primary data is through questionnaires and secondary data through several documents, evidence, literature, archives, and work reports of SMA I Talang Kelapa Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis techniques and explanatory analysis techniques using descriptive analysis techniques and explanatory analysis techniques using simple linear regression. The results showed that the effectiveness of the communication of employees showed asignificantvariable of work motivation of 0. 548 or 54, 8%. The hypothesis is accepted because hypothesis testing shows that the value oft is greater than t table at a significant level of5% with a ratio of4.587>2024. This means that there is an effect of communication effectiveness of civil servant employees on work motivation at SMA I Talang Kelapa
