- This research is entitled “The Performance Of The Sector Police (POLSEK) In The Maintenance Of Security Of The People In The Sub-District Of Pendopo Regency Empat Lawang Of The Province Of South Sumatra”, with a background in the study of the number of public complaint reports relating to problems of theft, theft and the occurrence of demonstrations related to public security issues. The purpose of this study is to find out “The Performance Of The Sector Police (POLSEK) In The Maintenance Of Security Of The People In The Sub-District Of Pendopo Regency Empat Lawang Of The Province Of South Sumatra”. The theory used is the organizational performance theory of Koesomowidjojo with indicators namely stakeholder satisfaction, strategy, process, capability, and stakeholder contribution. Penetration method used in this study is a mixed method using date collection techniques in the form of documentation, interviews, observation, and distribution of questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that the Performance Of The Sector Police (POLSEK) In The Maintenance Of Security Of The People In The Sub-District Of Pendopo Regency Empat Lawang Of The Province Of South Sumatra has not fulfilled a number of organizational performance theory indicators, which are still difficult to complete public complaint reports, do not have the right work program strategy to maintain security, and still lack awareness of the surrounding community to maintain public security. Maintaining public security is needed to understand the culture that often occurs in the community to be a strategy that can be done in maintaining security and achieving the objectives of the Pendopo Sub-District Police Sector (POLSEK).
