- This research entitle “The Meaning of Learning For Orphans And Dhuafa At Rumah Belajar Harapan Bunda Kelurahan Bukit Baru Palembang”. This study aims to determine the meaning of learning phenomena of orphans and dhuafa at Rumah Belajar Harapan Bunda Kelurahan Bukit Baru Palembang. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods that describe the meaning of learning orphans and dhuafa at Rumah Belajar Harapan Bunda, through the understanding of the phenomenological theory of Alfred Schutz. Unit of data analysis in this research is individual with amount of 8 main informant and 5 other informant. Determination of informants selected by purposive method where the criteria determined intentionally by the researcher in accordance with the research focus studied. Researcher used the phenomenological research strategy. The meaning of learning from orphans and the dhuafa’s that learning is interpreted as a form of self-reliance, a form of caring for others,a sign on child devotion to mother as they parents, a form of self-discipline, the child's goal in obtaining success later on, and the efforts to overcome of science (up to-date).
