  • The purpose of this study is to determine the role of Public Relations PT. Pusri Palembang in establishing good relations with the Government of South Sumatera Province. This research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach. This study uses data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews and documents as supporting data. Based on the results of research, it is known that the role of public relations PT. Pusri Palembang in establishing good relations with the Government of South Sumatera Province is : 1) The role of public relations as a communicator is realized by communicating well with the Government of South Sumatera Province, has a communication media with the Government of South Sumatera Province through letters and online media such as email, whatsapp and other social media, and convey information to the Government of South Sumatera Province through meetings and manage information related to the Government of South Sumatra Province. 2) The role of public relations as a relationship is done through a formal approach and an informal approach to foster good relations with the Government of South Sumatera Province. 3)The role of public relations as a backup management is done by using 4 stages of management function in the organization that is planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision. 4) The role of public relations as corporate image is done with PR campaign and personal approach with the Government of South Sumatra Province.
