- This research entitled "The Performance of Palembang Social Service in Outreach and Development of Street Children in Palembang City". Background of this research is still found some street children at some point that exist in Palembang City. The research type is descriptive research, which uses qualitative method. Data types used are primary and secondary data, while data collection techniques are done through observation, interviews, and documentation. This research uses Agus Dwiyanto theory which consists of several dimensions, namely: Productivity, Service Quality, Resvonsivity, Responsibility, and Accountability. The research results is the performance of Social Office of Palembang City in outreach and guidance of street children is running well, just not maximal in all aspect. This is due to the lack of supervision and controlling activities undertaken by the Social Service and also the lack of deterrent effect for those who are netted and rehabilitated.
