- This research is titled "The Double Role of Farmer's Wife in Sei Lais Village Kalidoni Sub-district of Kembang Palembang". The problems mentioned in this research are how the domestic workers and help make a living and what are the obstacles in playing a double game. This study aims to determine the gender roles that exist in the work, reproductive and social wives who are farmers in the Village Sei Lais Kalidoni District Palembang City. This study is of a general qualitative nature studied by individual analytical units. Technique of collecting data directly, interview with 6 main informant and 6 supporting informant and documentation. Informant determination by purposive. Inspection techniques and data validity are data triangulation and data triangulation. The results of this study indicate that wives who play a dual role by performing women's gender roles are productive roles, reproductive roles, and social roles. Translated from the obstacles they perceive both from internal and external barriers is the condition of the vulnerable body and the views of others on the multiple roles they perform.
