- This thesis aims to find out bow much influence the quality of cigarette advertising on consumer behavior of students. Cigarette ads differ from other ads because advertisers may not show their products to consumers in those ads. With these rules, advertisers must become more creative in advertising their products. This can be said to be successful remembering from year to year the percentage of students who consume cigarettes continues to increase. The type of this thesis research is descriptive research using quantitative approach method to describe the influence of cigarette advertisement quality toward consumer behavior of students. Data collecting technique is by distributing questionnaires, documentation, observation to see firsthand the reality in field and direct interview with student of Fisip Unsri Palembang. The concept used in this research is the concept of quality influence of cigarette ads from Kasali and consumer behavior from Schiffman and Kanuk. The results showed that the influence of the quality of cigarette advertisements on consumer behavior of Fisip Students Unsri Palembang can be said good. This is because based on research conducted according to the authors based on facts in the field and the theory used by the authors th.at the quality of advertising bas an influence on consumer behavior decisions.
