  • This is a descriptive with qualitative approach research entitled “Communication Patterns Between Teacher and Student at Sekolah Luar Biasa B Karya Ibu Palembang (Study at Grade III Student at SDLB-B Karya Ibu Palembang).” The purpose of this study was to found out the communication patterns that used between the teacher and student of grade III at SDLB-B Karya Ibu Palembang during the learning process. Data collection techniques were observation during the learning process and deep interview with the choosen informant. The theory used is according to Yusuf Syamsu’s theory. Based on that theory, communication pattern of interpersonal communication are authoritarian, permissive, and authoritative. Based on the result of the study, it was found out that communication patterns that used between teacher and student were interpersonal communication authoritative which is communication patterns where teacher had an abbility to understand but also with great control.
