This study aims to examine the causal relationship between economic growth and inflation in the capital city of Sumantra 1996-2017. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis which include the Granger Causality Test. The results of this study are (1) There is a one-way causality relationship betweem Economic Growth and Inflation in kota Pekan Baru (2) There is a causal relationship 2 In the direction of Economic Growth and Inflation in Bengkulu City (3) There is no causal relationship in Economic Growth and Inflation in the city Aceh, Medan, Padang, Jambi, Palembang, and Banda Lampung
