- The aims of this study are to determine the level of effectiveness and the contribution of retribution of Special Terminal in Banyuasin Regency to Local Own Revenue and Retribution as well as to know the economic and social impact of special terminsal to the surrounding community. This research used secondary and primary data toward 91 respondents in Muara Sugih and Sukatani villages. This study used qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed the effectiveness of the retribution of the special terminal is Not Effective with the average of value is of 88.68%, then the contribution of a special terminal retribution in region original income is less effective with the average of value is 1.824% and the contribution of the specific terminal on restribution area is less effective with the average value is 8.658%. The Special terminal has a positive impact or a positive externality for the community except on the social aspects which is indicators of green land and the level of public convenience that perceives the negative externalities of a special terminal company.
