Hospitals not performing solid medical waste management in accordance with applicable regulations may be at risk for polluting the hospital environment and environmental pollution around the hospital.This research uses qualitative approach The research method is done by in-depth interview, field observation and document review. The purpose of this research is to analyze the solid waste medical management system at Ernaldi Bahar Mental Hospital of Palembang City. with the number of informants 5 people.The results of research in the form of policy, Budget, Human Resources, Facilities and Infrastructure and Rubber Waste. The process of solid medical waste management at RSJ Ernaldi Bahar is the process of minimization, sorting, collection, storage, transportation, supervision. RSJ Ernaldi Bahar Hospital Output get a maximum score of 68.5% of the minimum score of 80% of Kepmenkes No. 1204 / MENKES / SK / X / 2004.It can be concluded that there are some process variables that have not met the requirements ranging from minimization, collection, storage, transportation, supervision. The suggestion of this research should improve the quality in the effort of solid medical waste management that fulfill the regulation of Kepmenkes. 1204 / MENKES / SK / X / 2004.
