- This thesis is aimed to know the process of managing information and public relations news in Palembang city parliament secretariat, which can not directly respond to criticism and public opinion on the performance of legislative council members, but public relations here serves as a mediator between the community and legislative members. Public Relations also play a role in providing input and suggestions for legislative members in resolving an existing problem on the performance of the DPRD council of Palembang city. Public Relations in the secretariat of the Regional People's Legislative Assembly has an important role that is, as a mediator and facilitator to defend all public complaints on the performance of legislative members, according to the vision and mission of DPRD Palembang City Secretariat that is to realize the excellent service in assisting the implementation of the tasks and authority of DPRD Palembang and information and news management which is very important in the process of delivering messages.
