TS175 Safety of consumer products</subject><description>Design of Emergency Response Plan (ERP) is important to anticipate the existence of a state of emergency resulting in the evacuation to be safe and quick. This research was conducted in the apartment of Sriwijaya University with the aim to design Emergency Response Plan (ERP) in the face of emergencies. Design used in this study is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. In the selection of informants using purposive sampling techniques. Design of emergency response plan in the apartment Sriwijaya University, covering emergency exits, emergency stairs, exit route, exit sign, assembly point, the calculation of the evacuation time, and want to know emergency response procedures designed and calculated in accordance with SFPE 3rd edition 2002, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code 2000, and SNI 03-1746-2000. Research results show that the Apartment of Sriwijaya University need for emergency exits according to the calculation is 3, the need for emergency stairs is 3, 2 exit route are designed, the installation of exit signs that are in accordance with SNI, location of assembly point is 20 meters form the front door, the calculation of evacuation time on the design of the exit route one in need 4,86 minutes, on the calculation of the design of exit route two of which are in need of 3.2 minutes and there is no written emergency response procedure. The need to immediately add an emergency exit to cut the time needed when exiting and make policies regarding emergency response procedures at the University of Sriwijaya apartment.
