- The problem in this research is the amount of garbage in Pale mbang City which lreep increasing so needed to waste managemenl to reduce the amount of waste. This study uses the concept of community participation from Sastropaetro. The melhod used in lhis research is descriptive qualitative research method. The number of informants in this study as many as JO people. Technique of data collection is done by observation, inlerview and documentation_ The results showed that the participation of the people of Seberanglllu 1 District in waste managemenl is participation of mind, participation of energy, participation of skills and participation of stuff. Commitment and public perceptions about wasle become an obstacle to community participation in recycling garbage in Junjung Bimi Garbage Bank.
