- The purposes of this research were to: 1) describe and calculate the rice stock system at traditional market merchant level of Muara Enim Regency, 2) knowing changes of sales volume, quality, trademarks of rice, and calculate the contribution margin after determination the ceiling retail price, 3) analyze sales quality has an effect on rice sales at traditional market wholesalers of Muara Enim Regency. The research was conducted in Muara Enim and Lawang Kidul Subdistrict, Muara Enim Regency. Location selection is done purposively (purposive). Data was collected in December 2017. The research method used survey method. The sampling method in this research used census sampling, that is 6 wholesalers intraditional market of Muara Enim and Lawang Kidul Subdistrict. The result of this research revealed that an average stock of rice 1.729 kg/month at the traditional market wholesalers of Muara Enim Regency and rice traders use FIFO method in the rice stock system. An effect the after determination the ceiling retail price has a diffrences average of sales volume before and after the ceiling retail price with a diffrences 50 kg/month, and average contribution margin Rp. 23.654.352/month so a diffrences in sales volume of significant with trademarks of rice in premium, medium, and local quality. Premium quality of rice an effect on sales volume at traditional wholesalers of Muara Enim Regency with an average of rice after the ceiling retail price with sales volume 27.825 kg, 27.800 kg, dan 28.000 kg.
