- This research is entitled "Implementation of the Death Certificate Registration Program in the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Palembang City in 2017". The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of the death certificate registration program in the Palembang City Population and Civil Registration Service in 2017. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. This study uses the theory of David C. Korten, in this theory to measure the implementation of a program can be assessed using three dimensions, namely: 1. Suitability of the program with the target group, 2. Suitability of the program with implementing organizations, 3. Conformity between target groups and implementing organizations . The problem in this study is that the attitude of the community is still largely ignorant of orderly population administration and a low level of awareness of the importance of the death certificate management. The socialization carried out by the Palembang City Dukcapil is still not maximal due to lack of communication between implementers , Lack of review in direct socialization activities by the government so that the expected socialization has not been achieved and the lack of Human Resources (HR) in the field of registration of the death certificate of the Population and Civil Registry of Palembang City. Conclusion The implementation of the Death Deed Registration Program in the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Palembang City in 2017 has not been implemented properly because it has not reached the 100% Target and there are still obstacles in the community, namely lack of participation and knowledge in the implementation of the Death Deed Recording Program. and the Civil Registration of Palembang City must further improve its performance in providing information to the public regarding information on population administration issues, information about what conditions must be completed, adding staff specifically for registering death certificates and improving the performance of human resources in the Population Office and The Civil Registration of Palembang City to achieve the set targets, improve the quality and quantity of the resources involved in implementing the death certificate policy in Palembang in order to get maximum results.
