- In this study, a novel robust, anti-icing, self-cleaning superhydrophobic coating was prepared via a simple, environmentally, friendly and efficient strategy which bond nanoparticles SiO2 to the polyurethane surface under UV-curing. The superhydrophobic coating with WCA of 165o and SA of 2o, good antifouling properties, self-cleaning properties, excellent mechanical stability (750 sandpaper tests) and anti-icing properties. The simple spray method and the green UV-curing technology make the superhydrophobic coatings have broad application space.
