The study was conducted over the course of 12 weeks in order to assess the efficacy and tolerance of a Thiamidol-containing topical formulation in comparison to a sunscreen only control (Cell A) and against an over-the-counter (OTC) 2% hydroquinone formula (Cell B) when used by women with bilateral dyspigmentation from melasma.
