- The data presented in this article affords insight into the synthesis, characterization, and CO2 absorption performance of three low viscous protic ionic liquids (PIL), tetramethylgunidinium imidazole ([TMGH][Im]), tetramethylgunidinium pyrrole ([TMGH][Pyrr]) and tetramethylgunidinium phenol ([TMGH][PhO]). The density and viscosity of PILs were measured using density meter and viscometer. The experimental setup for CO2 absorption was followed weighing methods. in-situ FTIR and theoretical calculations were used to analyze the interaction between ILs or IL-H2O system and CO2.
