  • This data was collected in the South Yellow Sea and East China Sea during spring, 2017 and summer, 2018. The carbonate system data demonstrated that the South Yellow-East China Sea region shifted from a strong CO2 sink in spring to a weak CO2 source in summer, and revealed the mechanisms of the carbonate system variability and the driver mechanisms of the pCO2 variations in different subregions and seasons. The underway pCO2 data showed a high-resolution of pCO2 variability in the entire South Yellow Sea and East China Sea. This data is a valid tool to allow us better understanding of the process determing the spatial and temporal vairiations of the carbonate system in continetal seas, which is an important step toward estimating global air-sea CO2 fluxes.
