  • Soiled airway with blood and vomit are a challenge for even the most experienced providers, made only more difficult in the resource scarce prehospital environment, and are associated with higher rates of intubation failure and increased mortality. “Suction assisted laryngoscopy and airway decontamination” (SALAD) was developed specifically to address this issue. This study aims to investigate the utility of SALAD training to prehospital emergency providers to improve their ability to intubate a massively contaminated airway.
