The dependence of fluorescence intensity of different protein samples on the concentration of copper ions was assessed at 337 nm in the absence and presence of different concentrations of copper ion. The affinity of native and peroxynitrite modified &#x3B1;A- and &#x3B1;B-crystallins to copper ions were characterized by analysis of data.
