  • The writer is interested in conducting this research based on the low of fifth year students' students of state elementary school 015 Koto Perambahan district of Kampar Timur the regency of Kampar by implementing directed learning paraphrase strategy. The aim of this research is to find out by the implementation of directed paraphrase strategy in improving the ability in writing experiences in the subject of Indonesian subject at the fifth year students of state elementary school 015 Koto Perambahan district of Kampar Timur the regency of Kampar. This research was conducted at the fifth year students of state elementary school 015 Koto Perambahan district of Kampar Timur the regency of Kampar in the form of classroom action research. The instrument used in this research consists of observation sheet of teachers' activities and observation sheet of students' activities and the test of intelligence in writing the experiences. Based on the results of research which is done in two cycles, the number of students' those are able in writing their experiences in the first cycle is 10 students or 50%, while this number increases in the second cycle after corrective action it is 16 students or 80%. This data indicated that the implementation of directed paraphrase strategy could improve the ability in writing the experiences in the subject of Indonesian subject paraphrase strategy of the fifth year students of state elementary school 015 Koto Perambahan district of Kampar Timur the regency of Kampar, this means when paraphrase learning strategy is implemented well it will improve students' ability in writing their experiences
