  • Based on the initial study, the writer found that the attitudes of students in learning English were good but some of the students got low score in English achievement. Based on these findings, this research is aimed at finding out the correlation between attitude in learning English and English achievement. The subject of this research was the second year students of Islamic Senior High School Al-Qasimiyah Sorek 1; whereas, the objects of this research were students’ attitude in learning English and their English achievement. The population of this research was all of the second year students at MA AlQasimiyah Sorek 1 that consisting 38 students. The number of population was lower than 100, so the writer took all population as sample. In collecting data, the writer used questionnaire to find out attitude in learning English and documentation to find out English achievement. In analyzing data, the writer uses person product moment correlation. Based on the data analysis, this research was proved that there was a significant correlation between attitude in learning English and English achievement. It can be seen from data analysis r xy = 0.451 higher than rt in level significant 5% (0.325) and higher than rt in level significant 1% (0.418) it can be read 0.451>0.325>0.418. in conclusion the correlation between attitude in learning English and English achievement is R2 = 20.38%, while 79.62% is influenced by motivation, aptitude, anxiety, interest and so on.
