The specific objective of this research was to find out whether there is a significant difference between students&#x2019; reading comprehension on narrative text before and after being taught by using Bookmark Technique for experimental class and without using Bookmark Technique for control class at State Junior High School 2 Pasir Penyu Indragiri Hulu Regency. In this research, the type of the research used was quassi experimental research. The writer took non-equivalent control group design. The writer used two classes as samples that consisted of 56 students. Before giving the treatments, the students were given pre-test and after the treatments they were given post-test. The technique of collecting the data was test. The test was used in order to find out reading comprehension on narrative text at State Junior High Shool 2 Pasir Penyu Indragiri Hulu Regency. The research finding showed that the improvement could be seen from the score of test. The technique of data analysis were Independent Sample t-Test and Paired Sample t-Test by using SPSS.16 Version. The result found that there is no significant difference of students&#x2019; reading comprehension on narrative text before being taught by using Bookmark Technique for experimental class and without using Bookmark Technique for control class. The total score of t-test was 0.253 compared with t-table with significance at level 5 % dan 1 % (2.00 &gt;0.253&lt; 2.65). then there is a significant difference of students reading comprehension on narrative text after being taught by using Bookmark Technique for experimental class and without using Bookmark Technique for control class. The total score of t-test was 3.038 compared with t-table with significance at level 5 % dan 1% (2.00 &lt;3.038&gt; 2.65). and then it could be concluded that there is a significant effect of using Bookmark Technique Toward Students&#x2019; Reading Comprehension on narrative text at State Junior High Shool 2 Pasir Penyu Indragiri Hulu Regency.
