- The research was carried on March 2011 in UPTD Balai Inseminasi Buatan Tuah Sakato Payakumbuh in West Sumatra. The research was conducted to determine the level of sperm motility and viability of the use sugarcane of different diluent. Design which used a complete randomized design consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications. A = 0 ml of control sugarcane (Egg Yolk Tris), B = 1 ml of sugarcane, C = 2 ml of sugarcane, D = 3 ml of sugarcane, and E = 4 mL of sugarcane. The material used was 0.2 ml of fresh bovine semen Bali. The percentage motility and viability of bovine spermatozoa after dilution 1 ml Bali sugarcane was higher than 2 ml, 3 ml, and 4 ml. It could be concluded that the greater the dose of sugarcane diluent given the level of motility and viability of spermatozoa decreases.
