  • The growth of oil palm nurseries is often constrained, one of the obstacles in oil palm plantations is stem rot disease caused by Ganoderma boninense. Ganoderma boninense infection occurs through wounds and lenticels, in plants often found in the neck part of a broken bone, this is a good place for fungal infections. This study aims to determine the ability of Trichoderma viride fungal antagonism to suppress the development of Ganoderma boninense in vitro and in oil palm plants aged 7-9 months. The research was conducted in January 2019 - March 2019 and carried out at the Pantomology, Entomology and Microbiology Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of the State Islamic University Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau and the Land of the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of the State Islamic University Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. This research method uses Non Factorial Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The results of this study indicate that the application of 25 grams of Trichoderma viride is more efficient to reduce the intensity of attacks in oil palm nurseries.
