PEKANBARU</title><creator>UZNUL FAJRI, 11214104562</creator><subject>370 Pendidikan</subject><description>This research was an Experimental Research. The design was a quasiexperimental
research with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The main
focuses of this research were to find out students’ vocabulary mastery taught by
using comic and taught without using comic. And, to find out whether there was
any significant effect or not using comic on students’ vocabulary mastery. The
writer formulated the problems that would be answered by using the quantitative
research. The subject of the research was the tenth grade students at Vocational
High School Ibnu Taimiyah. The object of this research was using comic and
students’ vocabulary mastery. The writer took two classes as sample and they
were taken by using cluster random sampling: experimental and control classes.
There were 60 students as sample from 147 students. To analyze the data, the
researcher used independent sample t-test by using SPSS 16.0 and effect size
formula by Julie Pallant. After analyzing the data, the researcher found that there
was a significant difference of comic on Students’ vocabulary mastery at students
of vocational High school ibnu taimiyah where to was 3.710 while the level
significance of 5% was 2.00 and the level significance of 1% was 1.67. It can be
read that 2.00<3.710>2.65. Thus, the researcher can conclude that Ha is accepted
and Ho is rejected. In other words, there is a significant different of using comic at
the tenth grade students’ of vocational high school ibnu taimiyah pekanbaru.
