THE ROLE OF LOOPING STRATEGY IN INCREASING STUDENTS’ WRITING ABILITY OF RECOUNT TEXT AT EIGHT GRADE OF STATE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL 32 PEKANBARU

- The main focus of this research was to find out whether there was a role of using Looping strategy toward students’ writing ability on recount text at eight grade of state junior high school 32 Pekanbaru. The writer formulated the problems into two research questions that would be answered by using qualitative research, that is; 1) How is the implementation of Looping Strategy in teaching writing of recount text at eight grade of junior high school 32 Pekanbaru? And 2) What are the roles of Looping strategy in increasing students’ writing ability of recount text at eight grade of junior high school 32 Pekanbaru? This research was a qualitative research. The subject of this research was the Eight grade students at State Junior High School 32 Pekanbaru. In collecting the data, the writer used observation checklist and interview. In analyzing the data, the writer used certain formula to get the percentage of observation and interview of students’ to know its role. Based on the analysis, the percentage of observation is 93%, the level of success is categorized into vey high. Then, the roles of looping was will help students to explore theirs idea that come into their mind as their to be write , Can be used at any time when the writer to be write, Enjoying for learning in classroom, and Focus on subject in their mind. It can be concluded that Looping strategy has important role in icreasing students’ writing ability especially in writing content. Key words: Roles, Looping Strategy, Writing Ability, Recount Text
