- The effect of giving NAA and cytokinin (BAP) to the growth of Adenium sp resulted from grafting technique. In order to increase the good quality and commercial value of Adenium sp plant, it is important to apply grafting technique in which two different plants are joined as a means of vegetative proliferation technique. The aims of this study were to know the effect and the optimal concentration of giving NAA and cytokinin (BAP) to the growth of Adenium sp resulted from grafting technique, either independently or combination. The experimental design was factorial with Randomized Block Design. The first factor was NAA with 4 levels of 0, 2, 4, and 6 mg/l and the second factor was cytokinin (BAP) with 4 levels of 0, 1, 2, and 3 mg/l giving a total of 16 combinations that were replicated three times. Parameters observed were percentage of grafting technique live, the emergence time of shoots, number of shoots, the length of the longest shoot, and the number of leaves. Data were analized with F-test and Duncan test. The result showed that giving NAA and cytokinin (BAP) could increase the live percentage of grafting technique and the emergence time of Adenium sp shoots. The interaction between NAA and cytokinin (BAP) could trigger the number of Adenium sp leaves with the concentration of 2 mg/l and 3 mg/l for NAA and cytokinin (BAP), respectively. Whereas, cytokinin (BAP) concentration of 1 mg/l could trigger the number of shoots independently.
