  • Beef is an excellent source of protein that is better for the body because it contains essential amino acids a more complete and balanced and easier to digest. Research has been conducted on 21 September to 21 October 2014. The study design used is survey method. The samples of consumers conducted purposively (intentionally) by using incidental. Every customer who came to buy the beef to be sampled. The data collected in this study are primary data and secondary data. The analysis used is descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. Results of the research probe requests in Inpres Market Manonda Palu is the elasticity of demand for beef is -0.2 which includes the type of request that elastic (Ed> 1), the price of beef is -0.08 which includes the type of inelastic demand elasticity (Ep < 1), the cross elasticity of goods X and Y is -1 which includes the type of demand elasticity komplementer or complementary (Ec <0), and based on an item of income that is 15 is the elasticity of the elastic (Ei> 1). Factors positive effect on the demand for beef in the Inpres Market manonda Palu namely meat prices, prices of other goods and the level of consumer education.
